This monthly virtual interactive class is designed for expectant moms and their partners to learn the essentials of breastfeeding and how to navigate the early postpartum period together. Moms will gain confidence in breastfeeding techniques and newborn feeding cues, while partners will learn how to provide meaningful support—emotionally, physically, and practically. 

Together, you'll build a strong foundation for successful breastfeeding and shared parenting from the start. During this class we will cover:


Benefits of Breastfeeding

  • For baby: nutrition, immunity, bonding
  • For parent: recovery, health benefits, emotional connection

How Breastfeeding Works

  • Anatomy and physiology of lactation
  • Understanding supply and demand
  • What to expect in the first hours and days after birth

Positioning and Latch

  • Different breastfeeding positions (cradle, football, side-lying, etc.)
  • How to achieve a good latch and why it matters
  • Signs of effective feeding and common latch issues

Feeding Cues and Patterns

  • How to recognize hunger and fullness cues
  • Understanding newborn feeding patterns and cluster feeding
  • How often and how long to nurse

Common Challenges and Solutions

  • Sore nipples, engorgement, low or oversupply
  • When and how to seek help (lactation consultants, support groups)
  • Pumping basics and storing breastmilk

Expecting a baby(ies)? Join us for this supportive and informative prenatal class designed to help you feel confident, prepared, and connected as you approach your big day.

In this class, families will learn:

  • Comfort measures, breathing techniques, and pain relief options
  • The role of birth partners and how to offer support
  • What happens during delivery and immediate postpartum
  • Creating a birth plan and understanding your options

Whether this is your first baby(ies) or you’re adding to your growing family, our class provides practical tips, evidence-based information, and emotional support to guide you every step of the way.

Expecting parents, partners, and support people — all are welcome.

Virtual sessions available. Includes Q&A time, interactive discussions, and helpful take-home resources.
